How it all began
A few friends.
A shared dream.

Hanabana began with a simple wish: a place where people could talk about their hobbies, enjoy them together and feel welcome.
Our early gatherings took place at Mushinkan Dojo, where Sensei Franky encouraged us to take that first step and shared his space with us. From gaming challenges and fan gatherings, we grew into cultural workshops, creative meetups and celebrations across Penang.
Whether you arrive with a lifelong passion or just a little curiosity, we hope you’ll find something—and someone—to connect with here.
Why “Hanabana”?
Our name playfully draws on hanashi-banashi, or conversation, and the image of flowers. It carries the idea at the heart of Hanabana: when people share what they love, friendships bloom.
